intake/drain light comes on and machine doesn't operate

0 I have the same problem and the dishwasher has been looked at twice by a plumber. The plumber said that there is really nothing wrong with the dishwasher, just that the impellers get stuck once in a while because they're small (part of the reason why the macine is energy efficient). All you need to jiggle the impellers free is a small wrench (1/2 inch or smaller), put it in the slot (take off the filter first), catch the impeller and move the wrench clockwise or counterclockwise gently until the impeller moves. Then turn the machine on. If the intake drain light is still on, click on the start/stop button for about 5 seconds and then restart. Let me know if this works for you. Good luck!
