Question About Miele Dishwasher None
salt...

The "salt" light is lit on the dishwasher and I do not know what that means nor where to to put it...What kind of salt?

0 There is a port with a screw on cover about 2 inches in diameter in the bottom of the washer. Unscrew the cover and pour in a box of salt. You can use Coarse Kosher salt a 2 pound box available at any supermarket. It will take about one box to fill the reservoir.It is a fraction of the cost of the Miele product and works exactly the same to soften the water to improve cleaning. It will last 2-4 months between refills.
