Same thing has just happened with my Miele dishwas...

Same thing has just happened with my Miele dishwasher, error code F70, have cleaned it all but it still is not working and the drain pump continues to work even tho the machine is switched off

0 yes F70 code. It started with a F13 code, the dishwasher would start but stop 30 sec. later. I did'n't hear water go in. So I ran the water hardness test. It came back with a reading of 0. I restarted the washer and it seemed to work then 5 min later it stopped with the code F70 and the pump still running after shut off. there is no water spillage outside the unit.

0 what is that stainless steel piston like cylinder at the back of the drain reservoir. I pushed it back in,should it be out or in. what is its purpose
