i have a KFN 9755 ide frideg freezer with ice maki...

i have a KFN 9755 ide frideg freezer with ice making capability. however the ice maker seems to have stopped producing. there is a wire hanging down underneath the ice tray should this be connected to something? any hellp greatly appreciated
