Question About Oster Toaster TOASTERS
Oster Toast LOGIC Operation...

Can't figure out the latching mechanism for a Model 3805. Without a diagram, I don't know how the latch works or whether a part has broken or missing.

0 Been so long since I worked on a toaster that I thought they still had lever actuated interlock switches. Now I realize that the locking mechanism is an electro magnet that attracts a metal bar until the circuit cut power to the magnet and releases to pop up the toast. The magnet has failed on the circuit board, so I'm tossing the toaster because it means a new board which is more expensive than the toaster.
