Have lost manual and do not know how to get "clean" light to go off.

5 Had same problem. Unplugged for 10 min. When plugged back in, the light was no longer on or blinking.

5 The “clean” button has an automatic function: -Insert clean filter in the basket. -Pour a 32 oz bottle of white vinegar in the reservoir. -Put the clean carafe on the warmer plate. -Press the select button until the CLEAN light is lit. The CLEAN light will continue to blink until the cycle is done and will go out when complete - about 45 min including a 30 min pause. -Discard the vinegar and filter, rinse the carafe and put it back on the warming plate. -Brew a full cycle with fresh water and repeat.

5 This happens right after cleaning the machine, not because it needs to be cleaned. I unplugged it for 5 minutes and plugged it back in and light light was off.

0 Unplugging it may may the light go out, but your machine still needs cleaning. That is what the blinking light means. You can download any other manual for a Mr. Coffee 12 cup coffee maker and get the instructions for cleaning it using 20 oz. of vinegar.
