Question About Microwave Oven mw-1030
Owners Manual...

Used microwave appears to work just fine. Anyone knowing of a problem with this model or potential danger, please advise. I'm giving it to my daughter and I would like to download the owners manual

0 Just today, our Portland MW-1030 may have bit the dust. My wife's mother bought it in ~1983, and it has worked without issue ever since. In the last week, the timer knob cracked, so I took it apart and glued the knob back together. Unfortunately, and inexplicably, it wouldn't turn back on after that. I took it back apart 3 times, and still couldn't determine what might have caused the failure. It just dawned on me that I might have shorted something, and burnt out the fuse: I think I'll check that tomorrow. Solid products are a thing of the past.
