I have a Panasonic SD-252 which has worked without problem for many years. using it today I was unable to operate the 'select' button and the word ALERT appeared in the window. The manual says this is due to a power interruption but it occurred after trying to set the type of bread. Could this be a permanent problem or is the ALERT displayed on any other occasion? I would really appreciate any help with this problem. thank you
