ARG 283/PH freezer.we don't know whether the adjuster on the left or right is the fridge or freezer.the model is many years old.

0 I assume you mean the control above the door! The control on the left is for the fridge, hence the right hand is for the Freezer. Incidentally, try and hold on to this Fridge/Freezer - there are very few fridge/freezers with two compressors on the market. My freezer failed (loss of refrigerant) but the fridge continues to work. Currently awaiting a replacement. Good luck with your machine.
