Microwave not heating. When I enter in the minutes...

Microwave not heating. When I enter in the minutes , the second number from the left is faded out (dull, not bright like the other numbers) when this happens my microwave stops heating. I have only had the microwave a couple of months and it has not worked more than it has worked.
