My Hamilton Beach/Procter Silex #33650 is 10 years ago? I was confused by the numbers so I cooked and I measured at #1 and #2 but not Autoshift. With a sharpie I wrote on tape the temps. Yours may be different. But Mine was #1 = 175 F, and #2 = 194 F. I now test all of my roasters and slow cookers this way because I find they are never true to the manual. I hope this helps. You should probably test your own - because my readings may be different from yours depending on the manufacture date.
