Question About PUR Water Purification Products Beverage Dispenser PUR200
leaking...

I have had my pur200 for a couple of years now and moved after cleaning and set up, it now leaks from the control area. Tried adjustments and then it seemed to let to much from the tank to the cooling cup. Any tips on this problem would greatly appreciated

1 Mine now leaks as well because an assistant severed the rubber gasket between the lower reservoir and the removable water tank. I am currently looking for a replacement part for mine but can not find at this time.

0 I, too, bought a cooler a few years ago. I just moved, and the place I moved from had so much rust in the water it was DISGUSTING!! I took the cooler apart to wash everything, and there was a black gasket with almost a cone-like top, and now I can't remember where it came from. Does anyone happen to know?? I put it back together a few different ways, and each way it leaked.

0 I believe the piece you're talking about sits on top of the float valve which is conncected to the base of the reservior. It's supposed to prevent/control the flow of water.... Bad news, though. I'm no expert but I suspect your gasket may be no good as a result of the vigorous well-intentioned cleaning. My husband is a mechanic and he says gaskets tend to go and the only way to resolve a leak is to replace it.

0 From the Pur website: Pur Advaced Filtering Water Coolers and Advaced Filtering Water Bottles are manufactured and distributed by Kaz, Inc. through a licensing agreement with Pur. It would be nice if they carried replacement parts for their products. We called they do not have parts "because they quit manufacturing the coolers two years ago". So everyone else like us that bought these and now have problems are out of luck.
