I have a Quasar microwave oven mounted about a Jenn-air electric range. I don't know the model number of the microwave but we purchased it in 1995 and it clearly was meant to be mounted over a stove. It has a woven metal screen (removable) and a light underneath. As the Jenn-Air is vented to the outside by way of a low side mounted vent, there is no external venting on the microwave. So, if I buy a new range and it is not side vened, do I need to vent the Quasar microwave to the outside?
