I bought a Rival Chocolate Fountain a couple of years ago, and I hadn't had reason to use it. Now I need to and it is missing a "guard". The store is no longer carrying them and I have e-mailed the company to no response. Does anyone know of a website where I can buy this guard? Thanks!

9 OK you all are just going to love this. I forgot the cap and was at a valentines event. I used a marshmellow to start the choc flow and it went for 5 hours. NO JOKE. Hope this helps. I took the marshmellow off after the choc started flowing.

5 I was given a fauntiaon, but without the cap. Does it work ok without the cap?

5 It does work without the very top piece, looks like a cap. That is the one I am missing too. It just won't look like the picture, it'll have one less tier. But otherwise its fine, I was a little nervous the first time I turned it on without that!

5 I finally got a reply from Rival, who said that this item is seasonal (but appartently not the Christmas season). They said to call in March, 1-800-923-9519, and they can get the part I need. Hope it works for you too!!

5 I am missing the metal piece that sits at the bottom of the auger, so it can fit properly in the middle of the bowl, if I can' t find one will give my CFF5-CN away

5 Hi - I am looking for a part too. I have used my fountain many times and I love it. I lost the top cap somewhere along the way. I emailed rival, too and now I'm not to hopeful of a response! Just wanted to let you know if it is one of the 3 round pieces that create the tiers, the fountain will work anyway, just won't look the same. I'm not sure about the similar looking round piece that sits in the bottom and it definitely won't work with out the clear tube. Good luck!

5 I NOTICE THAT ALMOST ALL OF THE COMMENTS I READ IS MISSING THE SAME PART WHICH IS THE TOWER / WHITE CAP - MAYBE THE MANUFACTURER DIDN'T REALLY INCLUDED THAT IN THE BOX BECAUSE WHEN WE OPENED THE BOX THAT PART IS MISSING.

0 did anyone try the suggestion of using the marshmallow in place of the top cap piece of the chocolate fountain.
0 Very late to the game but here are some workarounds I use since I am missing parts well.

For the cap: use a disposable muffin tin. trim one of the cups down and in the base of the cup cut a spoke pattern. Place the cup on the top of the tower and push down of the "spoke cuts". The slice will hold the cup in place and should be out of the way screw.

For the tiers: use disposable electric stove liners. the 8.25 and 6.25 diameter set are perfect size for the tiers. Look at the hole in the center of the liner apply equidistant ~1/4 inch cuts. This will allow you to slide the liner down the tower to your desired height. Note you need to use 2 liners per tier because of the cutaway on the outer edge of the liner.

All in for everything is <5$ and takes about 5 min.

Hope this helps!
