How do I read the settings?...

I know this sounds silly, but I honestly can't tell whether C is colder or warmer than A on my freezer. The control inside the door isn't all that clear as to which is the coldest setting. I assume it's the higher one ("C"), but I can't seem to get ice cream to get very hard in there.
