My 11772 deep fat fryer thermostat has popped out ...

My 11772 deep fat fryer thermostat has popped out so won't work how do you reset it - can see a reset hole and have tried via this plus also pushing in the thermostat device - as press this light comes on so fuse is not blown but button will not stay in
