How do I ventilate Saeco Comfort Plus Coffee maker...

How do I ventilate Saeco Comfort Plus Coffee maker. Digital display says to ventilate. If you press "water drops", motor runs for 10 seconds and stops with no water or steam out of stem. Does not rinse when first turned on.
