0 Does anyone know what might cause the coffee to flow more and more slowly through the portafilter handle to the point where sometimes it won't come through at all except a drop at a time? I have a new portafilter handle. The screen is clean. The water does get hot and the steamer sprays hot and strong. I have tried changing the grind but it does not seem to matter. Any advice is welcome.

0 I took one of these apart because there was no water flowing through the basket. Ends up there's a small piece within the housing that is attatched to a spring and will get sealed if the unit is not cleaned before being put into storage or not used for an amount of time. Also check the steamer and see if that flow decreases. The water feed goes through the basket housing in order to feed the steamer, so if the steamer is also weak it may be a failing pump.
