After only about five months of use, my Salton ice...

After only about five months of use, my Salton ice maker totally shut down. While the power comes on, none of the buttons do and the machine does not turn on. I've tried everything in the manual supplied with the machine with no luck. Help!! Could I have burned out the machine with too frequent use?
