5 I discovered that the 90 degree end goes down, while the more jagged end goes up.

5 I had the same problem. Couldn't find a video, however, after receiving the part: DA81-01345B ($2) I managed to replace it with a pair of needle nose pliers. If yours was like mine, the spring broke leaving a small end sticking down; this is easily removed by sliding a paperclip up from the bottom. Insert one end of the new spring in the downside and get a good grip on the spring; there's enough give to line it up with the upper holes. You do not need to remove anything else. Although I could not see any difference in the two ends of the spring; the first time I installed it, it didn't work properly; I took it back out, flipped it over and put it back in; works fine. Hope this helps and is not too late.

4 Same here...tried installing it one way. Flap didn't close properly so I turned it around. Frustrating thing is when I searched online for help to install, I kept seeing posts that refer to the manual that doesn't mention the spring at all. The lady at Samsung said there was a YouTube video but nada!!!

1 Now there is a Youtube video. Remember to keep the zaggy half facing upward.
