my office fridge is not cooling , I defrosted and ...

my office fridge is not cooling , I defrosted and clean and when I plugged back in it doesn't cool. I unplugged and clicked the thermostat off and then on, I hear the click and when I plug in it hums for a min then it seems to stop. I don't think it is cooling.
