why is it taking so long to cook in the ECJ-5205 S...

why is it taking so long to cook in the ECJ-5205 SN...after setting the cooker to brown rice, i noticed it was after 2 hrs when the rice was cooked...i did not set the timer...after menu select, i hit cook...my email...mg_tangan @yahoo.com..thanks
