0 I was given this slow cooker but as it is an old one there was no user manual with it.

0 I have just purchased a Sanyo ESC270 from Gumtree after my last golden oldie gave up the ghost. I did not have a manual for it, but it is so very basic that it's hard to stuff up using it. I tend to cook most of my casseroles, curries, soups on low no matter which of my slow cookers I use. Only time I would put on high is if in a hurry. Thing to remember is never fill more than 2/3rds full. Always cut veggies in small pieces as they take longer to cook. Place all veggies at base of pot, add your meat, poultry etc and then your stock, curry sauce or whatever liquid you are using. Do not put too much liquid into pot as the slow cooking makes condensation form inside lid and drop down forming more liquid, rather like cooking with a tagine. If making curry, you can add cream, coconut cream towards end of cooking. Hope this helps you folks after a manual, basically you really don't need a manual for these old style slow cookers. Most things on slow I cook for anywhere between 6 - 8 hrs on low. Hard to ruin anything in these gorgeous old slow cookers, far superior to the modern ones with a million buttons and functions. Happy Slow cooking!
