how to set clock...

my microwave is flashing 8888. It is very old and have taken to work to use but cant remember how to set the clock. Is this the problem or is it due to another problem

2 to set clock push auto start clock button(centre bottom button on panel)than enter time using numberd keys in 12 hrs format example( 0912 for 21 min past 9)than push auto start clock button again .done
