Red button will not turn on and microwave isn't working now,can it be a simple fix

0 the "radio" dial provides a permissive for the microwave to run and you should hear the cooling fan and see the compartment light when you turn the dial past 1 minute or so. if not, suspect the dial switch. if yes, then several things could be wrong including the door switch and the push button. does either button light up when you push it?
