When my power goes out, and then comes back on again, the microwave clock continually flashes. The instructions say to press the auto start/clock button, set the time of day, then again press the auto/start button. When I do this, the time I set stays on, but underneath the time appears the words auto start -- and the time remains at the time I just set without advancing.
