My Simpson La Bella Ceran Ceramic cooktop heats up...

My Simpson La Bella Ceran Ceramic cooktop heats up to much. All the food burns, even when swithched on Low. Impossible to leave food on any of the four plates to simmer. It will burn within minutes.
