how do I change the light switch in the unit, also am I suppose to clean a filter in the top and how do I do that , Thank you

0 there are 2 switches on the top of the refrig. please describe function for each. I think the left is to light the entire refrig. what is the right one for.Why would both switches go out at the same time.Both the light for the refig isout as well as the panel light although in black the degrees can be seen. Is that the function of the other switch.? should the contacts be cleaned and with what? thank you
