The top of my bread won't go dark - it's a pale colour even when the darkest crust is selected. I have only tried the breadmix (Laucke) setting but it is always a pale colour. Tastes great and rises perfectly have no worries there but just would like a darker crust. Any ideas?

0 Have the same issue, same breadmix - White (Laucke) and rises well, but the top of the loaf is a sickly pale colour. The lower section of the loaf that comes into contact with the tin is beautifully toasted though. It's our first one, will try some other mixes to see if we get better results...
