What heat setting should I use for cooking Steak? ...

What heat setting should I use for cooking Steak? Eggs - fried/scrambled? Stir Frying? My first attempt to fry an egg ended in it exploding because at first I had the heat too low and then too high. Instructions on Heat Settings should come with the Appliance.
