The center two burners are not working - these are the ones that have the very low settings that go off and on to warm something - they stopped working all of a sudden - the other three burners work great - wonder if there is a safety or something that is making it not work

5 I have the same issue. When the x-lo burners stopped working I called repair. The cost to repair was going to be at least half the cost of a new cooktop. I had several email exchanges with Thermador who took no responsibility for something I think should have been discovered in R&D. The issue has something to do with the fusing of the copper and gas lines...totally stupid on Thermador's part to let something with this defect go to market. The connected has to be drilled out...fixable, but very expensive. Good luck. We are going to replace our cooktop...not with a Thermador. They are not honest.

1 I might add that Thermador said that they had not had any issues with this cooktop; never heard of this issue. I think that is (obviously) baloney.

0 Very common problem. I bet you there are thousands of people with the same issue.Mine died after two years. I would rather not have the simmer mode and just have 5 working burners. Spent $ 1,500 on what I thought was a high quality item. Turned out to be one big disappointment. Company not responsive. Stay away from XLo.
