5 The danger with a self cleaning oven, not a continuous cleaning oven, is that you will leave some residue and when you use the self clean cycle the heat will cause it to emit toxic fumen. It's broken, use an oven cleaner. If you do get it fixed, then rinse, rinse and rinse again before you use the self clean cycle.
