just bought toastmaster hot pot model # tmhp4. onl...

just bought toastmaster hot pot model # tmhp4. only one in store & box was opened. cashier plugged in and said was getting hot. got home and it took long time for water to get hot. no info in box only registration card. isn't there supposed to be an inside cover at pouring spout? opening from outside of pot through inside.
