Runs too much and is too loud...

Our GDM 12 seems to run too much and is too loud, The noise is an obnoxious rattle which comes from the heat exchange unit in front of the compressor, under the refrigerator. I have vacuumed out the dirt and dust bunnies, which helped the unit not run so often.
