how do i get the temperature indicator on my 36 in...

how do i get the temperature indicator on my 36 inch all refrigerator to stop searching and lock on to the temperature i set it on. THE TEMPERATURE INDICATOR KEEPS CYCLING THROUGH THE TEMPERATURE BAND AND WON'T STOP ON THE TEMP SETTING I CHOOSE.
