I am doing kitchen renos. I just purchased a new waste king garburator (9980. I didn't even use it yet. As the drywaller was putting drywall up for the backsplash he turned the switch for the garburator on and left it on for at least one half to on hour. When I came into the kitchen and asked what the noise what he said he did not know. That's when I turned the garburator switch off and the noise stopped. How badly damaged is my machine. Dio I need to replace the whloe thing. Thank you Rose Stewart
