0 just had same question but worked it out. switch power button on (of course). then press and hold the lock button for a couple of seconds and all the program lights will start flashing. then cycle through the program options with the program button. press start and thats it. regards Wayne waynetrumble@gmail.com

0 please disregard above answer. holding the lock button down is only for the child lock function. then you have to know how to release the child lock function. so if anyone followed my above answer go to http://www.justanswer.com/australia-whitegoods/5lwe8-lock-button-dishwasher-wont-unlock-westinghouse-sb907.html and it will give a detailed view on using the child lock function. Because my machine is now working I will see if just pressing and holding the program button gets it going.
