My dishwasher main soap door won't open during cyc...

My dishwasher main soap door won't open during cycle... it's a year old. The tab that holds it closed on the door is kinda worn. The "lever" looks to be ok, just won't release in wash cycle....seems to be a little rougher than it should be when I moved it. took out the bottom drawer and tried it.... still nothing.
