When I tried to use my over the range Whirlpool Go...

When I tried to use my over the range Whirlpool Gold microwave, it emitted a loud sound and did not heat. Also some charred bits of what looked like charred paper emerged from the bottom of the appliance. Is there a reset button somewhere on the appliance.
