why did my whirlpool whkmd25 water dispenser leaked all 5 gallons of water into floor?

0 I have the same model water cooler as you. One of my kids accidentally snapped an adjustable tube that connects the the cold reservoir with the hot reservoir. Once this adjustable tube is broken, the water from the five gallon water bottle flows outside of this tube and starts filling up the metal container that surrounds the outside of the heater reservoir. There is a hole at the center bottom of the hot reservoir container. The water from your five gallon water container will flow down and out the the bottom of the heat reservoir over the refrigerant compressor and down to the bottom of your water cooler. You will have to check and see if the adjusting tbe is broken. You can do this by removing the the white guard that supports the water bottle and remove the funnel that sits in the middle of the water cooler. If the funnel pulls straight out, the adjustable link tube is broken.
