BEFOREINSTALLATION
This appliance shall only be installed by an
authorizedprofessional.
This appliance shall be installed in accordance
withthemanufacturer’sinstallationinstructions.
This appliance must be installed in accordance
withthenorms&standardsofthecountrywhere
it will be installed. The installation of this
appliance must conform to local
codes and
ordinances. In the abs ence of local codes,
InstallationsmustconformstoAmericanNational
Standards,NationalFuelGasCodeANSIZ223.1
latestedition**orB149.1.
The appliance, when installed, must be
electrically grounded in accordance with local
codesor,in theabsence oflocalcodes,withthe
National
ElectricalCode,ANSI/NFPA70.
Iflocal codespermit,a flexiblemetalappliance
connection withthe new AGAorCGA certified
design, max. 5 feet (1,5 m) long, ½” I.D. is
recommended for connecting this appliance to
the gassupply line. Do notbend or damage the
flexibleconnectorwhenmovingthe
appliance.
Thisappliance mustbe usedwith thepressure
regulator pr ovided. The regulator shall be
properlyinstalledinordertobeaccessiblewhen
theappliance isinstalledinitsfinallocation.The
pressureregulatormustbesetforthetypeofgas
tobeused.Thepressureregulatorhas½”
female
pipe thread. The appropriate fitting must be
determinedbasedonthe sizeofyourgassupply
line,theflexiblemetalconnectorandtheshutoff
valve.
The appliance must be isolated from the gas
supply piping system by closing its individual
manualshutoffvalveduring anypressuretesting
ofthegas
supplypipingsystemattestpressures
equaltoorlessthan½psi(3.5kPa).
Allopeningandholes inthewalland floor,back
andundertheapplianceshallbesealedbefore
installationoftheappliance.
Amanualvalveshallbeinstalledinanaccessible
locationin thegas
lineexternal totheappliance
forthepurposeof turningonorshutting offgas
totheappliance

Donotuseaerosolspraysinthevicinityofthis
appliancewhileitisinoperation
ROOM VENTILATION: An exhaust fan may be
used withthe appliance; in each caseit
shall be
installed in conformity with the appropriate
national and local standards. Exhaust hood
operationmayaffectotherventedappliances;in
each caseit shallbe installed inconformity with
theappropriatenationalandlocalstandards.
TYPEOFGAS
Thisapplianceisshippedfromthefactoryforuse
with natural
gas. For use with propane lp gas
please follow the conversion procedure
describedonpg.17.Astepbystepconversion
procedureisalsoincludedwitheachsetoflpgas
nozzles.
GASPRESSURE
Themaximuminletgassupplypressureincoming
to the gas appliance pressure regulator is 20’’
water
column(5kPa).
The minimumgas supply pressurefor checking
theregulatorsettingshallbeatleast1“w.c.(249
Pa)abovetheinletspecifiedmanifoldpressureto
theappliance(thisoperatingpressureis11”w.c.
(2.75kPa)forLPGasand4”w.c.(1.00kPa)for
NaturalGas.
