1. Before cleaning, unplug from the electri-
cal outlet and allow the appliance to cool.
2. Wipe the non-stick cooking surfaces
with damp paper towels, or a soft cloth
or sponge and dry with a soft, dry cloth.
3. Although the cooking surfaces have a
non-stick coating, some filling may stick
to the sandwich maker. To remove, pour
a little cooking oil onto the baked-on
food, allow to stand for 5 or 10 minutes.
Wipe with paper towels or a soft cloth.
This will prevent discoloration.
4. Wipe outside surfaces with a soft dry
cloth. Do not use steel wool, scouring
pads or abrasive cleaners.
5. The Sandwich Maker is designed for
neat and compact storage. Wrap the
cord around the storage stand and stand
the unit up vertically.
Service and Repairs
Service, if necessary, must be performed
by a Black & Decker Company-Owned or
Authorized Household Appliance Service
Center.
Full One-Year Warranty
Household Products, Inc. warrants this
product against any defects that are due to
faulty material or workmanship for a one-
year period after the original date of con-
sumer purchase or receipt as a gift. This
warranty does not include damage to the
product resulting from accident or misuse.
If the product should become defective
within the warranty period, we will repair it
or elect to replace it free of charge. We will
return your product, transportation charges
prepaid, provided it is delivered prepaid to
any Black & Decker Company-Owned or
Authorized Household Appliance Service
Center.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights
and you may also have other rights which
vary from state to state or province to

Care and Cleaning
4. Close the lid.
5. Allow the appliance to preheat for
approximately 4 minutes.
6. For 2-sandwich model (G600) - When
the correct cooking temperature is
reached, the green “Ready to Cook”
light will turn on and will cycle ON and
OFF during cooking as the temperature
is maintained.
7. Open the Sandwich Maker. Place a
slice of bread in the bottom half. Fill the
sandwich. Place on the top slice of
bread. Do not overfill.
8. Lower the lid until handles meet, then
secure with the latch. DO NOT force the
lid to close.
9. Cooking should take approximately 4
minutes. Exact time will be a matter of
taste and will depend upon the type of
bread and filling used.
10. When the sandwiches are cooked to
taste, remove with a plastic spatula. Do
not use metal tongs or knives, as these
may damage the non-stick coating.
11. Close the lid to preserve the heat until
ready to toast the next sandwiches.
12. After use, disconnect the plug from the
power outlet and allow to cool to room
temperature before cleaning.
