Welcome to BODUM
®
Congratulations! You are now the
proud owner of a BISTRO Herb Chopper
by BODUM
®
. Please read these instruc-
tions carefully before using your Herb
Chopper.
The BISTRO Herb Chopper consists of a
transparent cup with rotation aids built
into its base (diagram 3) and a two-
section lid (diagram 1). Mounted into
the lower section of the lid is the hard-
ened stainless steel knife assembly. This
is permanently housed within a plastic
holder and protected by a blade guard
held in place by means of a bayonet fit-
ting (diagram 2).
Caution
• The blades and points of the knife
assembly are extremely sharp!
• Keep your BISTRO Herb Chopper away
from children!
Never rotate your BISTRO Herb
Chopper with the blade guard in place!
Always store your BISTRO Herb
Chopper with the blade guard in place!
• It should be possible to rotate the lid
(without the blade guard) slightly. If it
does not, check whether it is on
properly.
Operation
• Remove the lid. Remove the blade
guard with one turn of the wrist in the
direction of the arrow («open»). Wash
the herbs, shake them dry and remove
the stalks. Place them in the cup
(approx. 10–15 g).
• Replace the lid, take the appliance in
both hands and rotate the cup and lid
back and forth in opposite directions
until the herbs have reached the
desired fineness (diagram 4). Shaking
the cup while doing so helps distribute
the contents.
• Remove the lid and empty the herbs
straight into the saucepan or bowl.
