years of satisfactory service.
Before first use
Inserting/replacing the batteries
1. Place the grinder upside down on a flat, clean
surface.
2. Rotate the battery cover (1) anticlockwise and
remove the battery holder (2).
3. Insert six size «AAA» batteries, observing the
polarities marked in the battery holder (2).
4. Replace the battery holder (2) into the housing
(3) and rotate the battery cover (1) clockwise.
Ensure that the cover (1) is firmly closed.
5. The grinder is now ready for use.
Filling
1. Place the grinder on a flat, clean surface.
2. Turn the transparent lid (4) of the housing (3)
anticlockwise. Now put pepper, salt or some
other condiment or spice which is suitable for
grinding into the chamber. Note: do not fill
the chamber all the way to the top, but leave
a little space.
3. Replace the transparent lid (4) on the housing
(3) and turn it clockwise.
Using the grinder
After inserting the batteries and filling the
chamber with condiment, pick up the grinder
and tilt it forward at least 90º .
The grinder will automatically begin to grind as
soon as it is tilted more than 90º.
Fineness of grinding
1. For coarser grinding, turn the adjustment
screw (5) at the front of the grinder to the left.
2. For finer grinding, turn the adjustment screw
(5) at the front of the grinder to the right.
Cleaning and care
1. Do not leave discharged batteries in the
grinder.
2. Always replace all six batteries at the same
time. Avoid using old and new batteries
together.
3. Clean the exterior of the grinder with a dry
cloth. Never put the grinder in the dishwasher
and never immerse it in water.
Hints and tips
1. Always store the grinder vertically. Never
store it horizontally with the batteries in
place or it will start grinding.
2. This grinder can be used for pepper, as well
as salt or other condiment or spice suitable
for grinding. If possible, always use the same
type of condiment/spice.
3. If the grinder does not function:
check that the batteries are inserted correctly, or
check that there is enough pepper, etc. in the
grinder.
If the grinder is not empty, shake it gently to
release any blockage in the chamber.
4. A reduction in the grinding speed is a sign
that the batteries will soon need replacing.
