IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
BEFORE USING
Please read these operating instructions carefully. It contains important advice
concerning the use, safety and maintenance of your BODUM
®
juicer. Keep these
operating instructions in a safe place and pass them on-to any subsequent user.
This appliance must only be used for its intended purpose in accordance with
these operating instructions. Please pay attention to the safe guards.
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be
followed including the following.
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS
– To protect against risk of electrical shock do not immerse cord, plugs, portable
appliances in water or other liquid.
– Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
– Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off
parts, and before cleaning. Allow to cool before handling.
– Avoid contacting moving parts.
– Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appli-
ance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance
to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or electrical or
mechanical adjustment.
The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may
cause fire, electric shock or injury.
– Do not use outdoors.
– Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot
surfaces.
– Do not let cord contact hot surface, including the stove.
– Where applicable, always attach plug to appliance and check that the control
is OFF before plugging cord into wall outlet. To disconnect, turn the control to
OFF, then remove plug from wall outlet.
– Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
ALWAYS MAKE SURE THE APPLIANCE IS “OFF”
– When the appliance is not in use.
– In the event of a malfunction during use.
– Before cleaning and maintenance.
– Before putting on or taking off parts.
