HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed,
including the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE.
To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not immerse the power base in water
or other liquid.
Close supervision is necessary when used by or near children.
Unplug cord from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts and
before cleaning.
Avoid contact with moving parts.
Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance
malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to an
authorized service center for examination, electrical repair, mechanical repair or
adjustment.
The use of attachments, including canning jars not recommended or sold by the
manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
Do not use outdoors.
Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
Keep hands and utensils out of the jar while blending to prevent the possibility of
severe personal injury and/or damage to blender. A rubber spatula may be used but
only when the blender is not running.
Blades are sharp. Handle carefully.
To avoid injury, never place the blade unit on the power base without the jar
properly in place.
Always operate blender with lid in place.
When blending hot liquids, keep the vent holes around the measuring cap open to
allow steam to escape.
Allow hot liquids to cool down to a lukewarm temperature before pouring into the
jug.
Note: This appliance has a polarized plug (one prong is wider than the other). As a
safety feature, this plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not
fill fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.
