of care when using any electrical appliance and adhere to the following precautions:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS
Carefully read all instructions before •
operating and save for future reference.
To protect against electric shock, do not •
immerse the grinder, plug or cord in water
or any other liquid.
Remove any promotional stickers or •
packaging materials before using the
coffee grinder for the first time.
Do not place the appliance near the •
edge of a bench or table during
operation. Always use the appliance
on a dry, level surface.
To turn the appliance off, remove the plug •
from the power outlet. Remove the plug
when the appliance is not being used and
before cleaning.
The Coffee Grinder should not be •
switched on until the bean container
and lid are locked into position in the
Grinding Chamber.
Do not leave the appliance unattended •
when in use.
Do not move the grinder whilst in •
operation.
Do not place this appliance on or near •
a hot gas or electric burner, or where it
could touch a heated oven.
Do not use on metal surfaces, for •
example, a sink drain board.
Do not use on an inclined surface.•
Do not operate this appliance for longer •
than 2 minutes at a time as this could
cause overheating. Allow to cool for at
least 2 minutes after each use. Allow
appliance to cool down for 10-15 minutes
after long operation.
Keep the appliance clean. Follow •
the cleaning instructions provided in
this book.
Avoid contacting moving parts•
The use of attachments not recommended •
or sold by the manufacturer may cause
fire, electric shock or injury.
Check Hopper for presence of foreign •
objects before using.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one •
blade is wider than the other). To reduce
the risk of electric shock, this plug will fit
in a polarized outlet only one way. If the
plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse
the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a
qualified electrician. Do not modify the
plug in any way.

appliance.
It is recommended to regularly inspect •
the appliance. Do not use the appliance
if power supply cord, plug or actual
appliance becomes damaged in any
way. Return the entire appliance to the
nearest authorised Breville service centre
for examination and/or repair.
This appliance is for household use only. •
Do not use this appliance for anything
other than its intended use. Do not use
in moving vehicles or boats. Do not use
outdoors.
The installation of a residual current •
device (safety switch) is recommended to
provide additional safety protection when
using electrical appliances. It is advisable
that a safety switch with a rated residual
operating current not exceeding 30mA
be installed in the electrical circuit
supplying the appliance. See your
electrician for professional advice.
