LIGHTING THE BURNERS
Models without safety cut-off valves
In order to light the burner, you must:
Models without
electric ignition:
1 – To light one of the gas burners, hold a flame (e.g. a match) close to the top
part of the burner, push in and turn the relative knob (fig. 3b) in an anti-
clockwise direction (fig. 4), pointing the knob indicator towards the large flame
symbol (i.e. max. gas flow).
2 – Adjust the burner according to the power required.
3 – To turn it off, turn the knob towards the right, up to the safety click.
Models with electric ignition incorporated into the knobs:
1 – Lightly press the knob fig. 3b in anti-clockwise direction (fig. 4) up to the maxi-
mum aperture (symbol
)
, push in and hold the knob; this will light the gas.
In the case of a mains failure light the burner with a match or lighted taper.
2 – Adjust the burner according to the power required.
3 – To turn it off, turn the knob towards the right, up to the safety click.
N.B. If your local gas supply makes
it difficult to light the burner with
the knob set to maximum, set the
knob to minimum and repeat the
operation.
