the self-cleaningoven.However,theywilldarken,
losetheirlusterandbecomehardto slide.
A.Wipeupheavysoilon theovenbottom.If you
use-soap,rinsethoroughlybeforeself-cleaning
to preventstaining.

outsidethegasketdonotget cleanedby theself-
cleancycle.On theseareas,usedetergentandhot
wateror a soap-filledsteelwoolpad.Rinsewell
witha vinegarandwatersolution.Thiswillhelp
preventabrownresiduefromformingwhenthe
ovenis heated.Bufftheseareaswitha dry cloth.
Do notcleanthegasket.
Do notuseabrasivesor ovencleaners.Clean
theoutsidefrontof theovendoorwithsoapand
water.Alsousesoapand waterto cleanunderthe
ovenventgrille.
Makesuretheovenlightbulbcoveris in place.
Do not rubor cleanthe doorgasket—
the fiberglassmaterialof thegaskethas an
extremelylowresistanceto abrasion.An intact
andwell-fittingovendoorgasketisessentialfor
energy-efficientovenoperationandgoodbaking
results.If younoticethegasketbecomingworn,
frayedor damagedin anyway orif it hasbecome
displacedon thedoor,youshouldhaveit replaced.
Do notlet waterrundownthroughopeningsin
thetop of the door.Tohelppreventwaterfrom
gettingintheseslotswhencleaning,openthedoor
as far as it willgo.
4. Closetheovendoorandmakesuretheoven
lightis off.If the ovenlightis notturnedoff,
thelifeof thebulbwillbe shortenedor it may
burnoutimmediately.Thedoorlatches
automaticallyafterthecleancycleis set.
Do notuse commercialovencleanersoroven
protectorsin or neartheself-cleaningoven.
A combinationof anyof theseproductsplusthe
highclean-cycletemperaturemaydamagethe
porcelainfinishofthe oven.
