Always use salt intended for use with dishwashers.
The salt container is located beneath the lower rack and should be filled as follows:
Remove the lower basket andthen unscrew and remove the cap from the salt
container.
Ifyou are fillingthecontainer for the first time ,fill 2/3 of its volume with water.
Place the end of thefunnel(supplied) into the hole and introduce about 2kg of
salt .Itis normal for a small amount of water to come out of the salt container
Carefully screw the cap back on.

Unscrew the cap from the salt container.
There is a ring on the container with an arrow on it (see Figure to the side), if
necessary, rotate the ring in the anticlockwise direction from the "-" Setting
toward the "+" sign, basedon the hardness of the waterbeingused.It is
recommendedthatadjustments should be made in accordance with the following
schema:

Thesaltcontainer must be refilled when the salt warninglightcomes on. Though the salt container is filled
enough, theindicator light maynot black outbefore thesalt fully dissolve.
Ifthereare spills of the salt, a soak program could be runto wipethem out.
Contact your local water board for information on the hardness of your water supply.
The hardness of the water varies from place to place. If hard water is usedin the dishwasher, deposits will form onthe dishes
and utensils.
The appliances is equippedwitha specialsoftener thatuses a salt specifically designed to eliminate lime and minerals from the
water.
Thedishwasher is designed to allow for adjusting the amount of salt consumed based on the hardness of the water used.
This isintended tooptimizeand customizethelevel ofsaltconsumption sothat the salt consumption could be set proceedas
follows:
There are two ways to reduce the hardness: one way is using water softener, the other is using
detergent.
